This elective offers creative design students further extension in the field of Visual Communication Design. You will work through the design process to create an Event Poster using skills and techniques associated with the Design Field of Messages. You will explore the Design Field of Interactive Interfaces, learn about the design of apps and create an app design for iPhone using Miro. You will develop your skills in design, 2D and 3D drawing, rendering using a variety of media, rendering to show form and texture, manual and instrumental drawing. This elective involves practical works, written tasks and an exam.

COURSE OUTLINE
Use the Elements and Principles of Design to develop creative solutions to set tasks using media such as:
Greylead and colour pencils.
Markers.
Gouache Paint.
Computer-generated imagery.
Develop a range of rendering skills and techniques to accurately represent a variety of surface textures and forms.
Develop drawing skills to produce isometric, and orthogonal diagrams, 2D and 3D presentations
Develop a design brief and folio of work for a fictional clients.
Develop competence in identifying, analysing and interpreting both 2D and 3D designs
Develop competence in understanding and creating app designs
