In this unit, students will learn that businesses, whether large or small, play an important role in both the economic and social welfare of a country. The ability of entrepreneurs to start businesses and the supportive environments that encourage new ideas are essential for a nation's overall health. Transforming a business concept into a business that is viable, is fundamental for both economic growth and societal progress. In this unit, students will examine the factors influencing business ideas and the internal and external environments in which businesses operates. Throughout this unit, students will analyse how factors from these environments influence business planning.
This unit is all about starting a business. Students will learn that when a person starts a business, there are certain rules and regulations need to follow, such as legal requirements. Students will consider how to keep track of business finances, employee people, and maintain customer interest. In this unit, students will explore how to market a business effectively following the 7Ps of Marketing. Students will analyse contemporary business examples from the last four years to understand how businesses are run today.
