Letter 7

Dear NSW Minister of Transport and Roads,

I am writing to you on behalf of S.P.S (Swansea Public School) as the concerns of the residents from Swansea that our bridge is unsafe for civilians on our roads.

My first complaint is that the bridge is too small for large vessels and the bridge takes too long to open and close which can cause a catastrophe between each side of the bridge.

My second reason is that the rail guards are too small for tall vehicles via trucks and busses. Car crashes also sometimes occurs often around the area.

A resolution to this problem could involve building a higher bridge so the boats can pass under without a hassle. Also build higher and stronger rail guards so there will be less collisions with them.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the bridge was originally built over 100 years ago. Although going through major repairs every now and then, it’s still unique!

Sincerely yours.
