Coastal Rosemary


Coastal rosemary also known as Native rosemary is one of the many bush tucker plants in Australia. The coastal rosemary's scientific name is Westringia fruticosa meaning shrubby bushy and grows on the north coast of NSW. The plant looks like a small shrubby plant when is a seedling. But in a few months it would have grown into a medium sized bush and will grow a beautiful small purplish flower around the edges of the plant.


common rosemary is edible, all varieties of rosemary are edible, but they do slightly vary in flavor and in their growth habits. It can be used in a roast as a slight flavouring to the dish.It can be used in a tea too.But coastal rosemary also consists of several vitamins like iron, calcium and vitamin B-6.
