Letter 15

Dear Mr Pat Conroy MP

I am writing to you on behalf of the residents of Swansea that we disagree with the idea to build nuclear power plants in our Lake Macquarie area. We think it’ll be more efficient to use Solar energy instead of Nuclear energy. The chance of nuclear spilling is quite over the charts because we’re so close to the ocean.

A resolution to this problem is to use solar energy as it is a lot more efficient than nuclear energy. It also cost less so our families won’t really have to worry about having to foot that $500 bill to the electricity company. It also has a way lower chance of spilling, I mean, come on do you really want nuclear power spilling in our backyards and if you haven't realized already, Swansea is a beautiful place to stay.

A nuclear power plant could spill and kill all our wildlife (including us) and we don't want that to happen. So to my conclusion, I think (and a lot of people think) that we should not build a nuclear power plant in Lake Macquarie.

Sincerely yours
