Course Choice

Each year S3-5 pupils make subject choices in term two to decide on their courses to be studied in the following session. Pupils only will meet with their Coursing Counsellor to make these choices. The coursing counsellors will be either a Pupil Support Leader, Head Teacher, House Head, or a Curriculum Leader. There will be no specific meeting to include parents/carers and therefore it is crucial that young people have thorough and robust conversations, at home, about the courses that they would like to study. Pupils and Parents/carers should take the time to research future career paths and college or university courses to make sure that they are taking the correct range of subjects at the correct levels. An individual appointment can be made with our SDS worker Shereen Dalton shereen.dalton@sds.co.uk this can include parents/carers if required.
