The promotion of children's' rights is a key improvement priority for MGS in
2023-24.
The following actions represent our planned approach to UNCRC:
School improvement group established to drive forward.
Pupil ‘rights council’ appointed and remit set.
Analysis of where children’s rights are covered in the curriculum
Bronze Rights respecting school award to be achieved by Christmas 2023.
UNCRC Articles to be referenced within every PSE lesson and within every assembly.
SIG and ‘rights council’ to review one school policy per term from January 2024 to ensure adherence to children’s rights.
