WHY CHOOSE COMPUTING?

Computers are everywhere in the modern world - we come into contact with Computing in almost every aspects of our lives. We need to know not only how to use this technology but to use it effectively. We aim to help pupils discover how it works and understand the underlying ideas and principles. We wish to turn pupils from tool-users to Took-Builders who have the skills necessary to create the software and technology for the future. 

THIS COURSE WILL ENABLE LEARNERS TO:

• Build Software and Apps, by writing code in a programming language 

• Build games using a variety of software packages

• Build Web Pages and Websites - we are the only subject that teaches Web Design

• Learn about Computational Thinking

• Learn about Databases, including SQL, the industry standard for Data Scientists

• Create graphics and animation

• Learn about the different computations of a Computer System and how they work together
