APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course's purpose is to provide the students with deep knowledge of the production and distribution context of the audiovisual animation industry, including series on new streaming platforms, as well as with the required design competencies for their professional field. The course will also cover topics such as production costs and financing as necessary to carry out an animation project and for productions in the audiovisual industry, as well as accessing festivals and distribution.
This teaching is made of a single module of 4 CFA = 4 ECTS
Successful students will be able to:
Develop confidence and independence in the use of software and technological tools in different steps of multimedia production (such as screenwriting, filming with digital devices, use of projectors and lights, editing, post-production, 2D and 3D compositing).
Reinforce the historic-cultural knowledge of multimedia production, to interpret the transformational influence of technology on human beings and their creative processes.
Evaluate and understand the elements of contemporary multimedia production, comparing styles and references to visual arts, starting from the theoretical, historical and aesthetic frameworks of semiotics, mass-media theory and multimedia art.
Critically understand the connection among human beings, technology and creativity act as key elements to cultural innovation and media ecology.
Critically evaluate the own and others' work using discipline-specific criteria and vocabulary.
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the themes that will be developed.

Assessment criteria may include:
Creation of complete interactive projects
Graded exercises with a final oral exam
