Theoretical/project based
This course provides the students with theoretical and practical skills in the field of audio-visual editing, through a historic, analytic and project-based approach to the specific language and technical features of this project phase; the students will also gain competence in the use of specific editing software.
This teaching is made of a single module of 4 CFA.
Successful students will be able to:
Identify the elements of the audio-visual language in editing
Edit audio-visual works according to the desired storytelling logic.
Identify different linguistic approaches in editing
Consistently use the technical terms of the audio-visual language
Be self-sufficient in the use of software
Basic audio-visual grammar articulations
Audio-visual storytelling
Technical aspects
Use of video editing software
This is a theoretical/project based course.
During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual study or research
Assessment criteria may include:
Paper and oral discussion

The final grade for this course will result from the weighted average of its modules.
