Theoretical/project based
This course is meant as a professional preparation for 2D animation practices: starting from traditional drawing, over the course the students will deal with the many aspects of 2D digital animation, using specific software.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS
2D ANIMATION
Successful students will be able to:
Create storyboards for animated audiovisuals
Create simple 2D animations using a range of different techniques
2D animation techniques:
Drawing
2D layout and illumination
Point of view
2D rigging Foundations
Use of professional software for cartoons
This is a theoretical/project based course.
During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual study or research
Assessment criteria may include:
Graded exercises with a final oral exam
Further details on the specific tests will be given by each professor.
The final grade for this course will result from the weighted average of its modules.
