APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The course in Career development aims at giving students that are about to graduate the necessary skills and knowledge to approach the professional world. In particular, part of the course, in collaboration with Career Services, will cover some aspects that relate to professional practice (types of contract, intellectual property, CSR - corporate social responsibility).
The organization in form of workshops, together with meetings with professionals from different creative industries covered by the course, helps the students develop awareness of the requested skills in the related creative areas. Also, the course intends to provide the students with the necessary skills to create and present a portfolio, and to gain awareness about how to distribute their final project. This course also aims at the development of a knowledgeable approach to design, that also considers ethical issues (sustainability, company relations, community development, as well as support to arts and culture).
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS
Successful students will be able to:
Create a professional portfolio that is suited to the creative sector of reference
Enhance a presentation through the use of suitable technologies.
Identify different kinds of enterprises within the scenario of the Italian and international creative industries
Identify the most suitable path to access the professional world according to the individual aspirations
Apply all suitable norms in terms of safeguarding the author's rights and use of copyrighted material
Select tenders, start-up accelerators, funds or other tools that facilitate access to the professional market in a way that suits the personal needs

This is a theoretical/project based course.
Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the themes that will be developed.
