APPROACH
Theoretical/project based

This course aims at providing theoretical and practical knowledge to achieve professional competencies in devising and carrying out audio-visual projects, through personal research that leads the students to the development of personal poetics. The students, either individually or in teams, will create a short film with special attention to authorship and actors' direction. Also, it covers set preparation following professional preproduction standards: from direction documents, to cast organisation, production plan and on-set production direction. 

This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS

PRE-PRODUCTION

Successful students will be able to:

• Organise complex productions with the necessary documents

• Devise and design audio-visual products

• Implement professional methods in the writing phase

• Actors direction

• Devise audio-visual projects

• Building a personal language

• Production phases of audio-visual products

• Set preparation

• Location research and authorisations

This is a theoretical/project based course.

During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:

• Front lectures

• Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools

• Exercises and revisions

• Workshops

• Individual or group projects

• Individual study or research

Assessment criteria may include:

Graded exercises with a final oral exam
