APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
Through the analysis of works and authors of contemporary cinema, in this course the students experiment with and define the poetics that best presents, from an artistic and productive point of view, their final work. Special attention is put on the study of reality carried out by audiovisuals, either as films or documentaries, in their possible hybrid genres, scopes, and styles. As for the animation part, the course is intended as a natural continuation of a knowledge, research and study journey into the wide world of animation cinema that has been covered in the previous months. On one hand, it helps the students to develop their identity and self-awareness through practice and the study of authors, as well as the experimentation with new techniques and styles; on the other hand, it guides them into the creation of their thesis project, with specifically organized meetings.
