APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This course introduces the students to the world of interaction design through the study, analysis, design and prototyping of interactive multimedia systems, as well as theoretical knowledge in the field of recreational video. In the Interaction design module, the students analyse significant interactive installations and their authors. While studying man-machine relations, physical computing, robotics and artificial intelligence, they will identify areas of their interest. Different techniques and technologies will be defined with the introduction of hardware tools (biosensors, systems for movement analysis). At the same time, the students will work to develop an interactive installation.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS
Successful students will be able to:
Know the fundamentals of electronics
Use their electronics and logic knowledge to create interactive products
Design a simple interactive system
Independently create an interactive system
Meaningful examples of interactive media
Founding technologies of interactive systems
Software for interactive systems development
Physical computing
Project development
This is a theoretical/project based course.
During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual study or research
Assessment criteria may include:
Writing a paper
Graded exercises with a final oral exam
Further details on the specific tests will be given by each professor.
The final grade for this course will result from the weighted average of its modules.
