APPROACH
Theoretical

This course presents a wide and rational overview of the contemporary music world, from its origins in the second post-war era until the latest electronic and digital experimentations.

• This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS 

Successful students will be able to:

• Know the majority of the musical trends of the 20th Century

• Tell apart and assess the different styles of authors in contemporary music

• A theoretical journey into contemporary music

• Avant-gardes and underground sub-cultures as driving forces of the artistic movement transformation in the 20th Century

This is a theoretical course.

Over the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the themes that will be developed. 

• Front lectures

• Use of tutorials, videos or other multimedia tools

Assessment criteria may include:

Oral exam
