APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The course's goal is to develop the student's ability to devise and create a small 3D animation project. The course will provide technical and methodological skills for 3D character modelling, with the acquisition of basic techniques including rigging, lighting and rendering.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS
Successful students will be able to:
Create a 3D animation from a model
Know the workflow and pipeline of 3D animation
Carry out a critical analysis of contemporary productions
Devise and pre-visualise authorial animation projects
Realise a scene for an animated short movie
3D animation techniques

Rigging
Lighting
Rendering
Use of 3D animation software
This is a theoretical/project based course.
During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:
Front lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools

Individual or group projects
Individual study or research
Assessment criteria may include:
Graded exercises
Writing a paper
Oral exam
