Theoretical
Following an accurate historic and theoretical path, this course researches topics on the border with aesthetics, philosophy of nature, philosophical anthropology and history of technology. The idea is to get the students to observe how the links among art, nature and technology, in the past as well as in the present cultural systems, have shaped historic forms of subjectivity.
This course is made of a single module of 6 CFA credits = 6 ECTS.
Successful students will be able to:
Discuss the relationship among art, nature and technology
Analyse phenomena in the contemporary media
Use a suitable lexicon for aesthetic analysis
Relation between subject and the world from the classic antiquity
Art and Technology in the Middle Age, Renaissance and Enlightenment
Types of critical deconstruction of 20th-Century stories
Post-structuralism and post-modernity
This is a theoretical/project based course.
During the course, the students will carry out the following didactic activities, which may vary depending on the projects that will be developed:
Front lectures
Debates, presentations, peer assessment
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Individual study and research
