Grade 5 - Termly Update

The first term of Grade 5 has been filled with excitement as our students have settled into the new school year. Despite the rainy weather, we didn’t let it hinder our learning, and the children had plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy all that our beautiful campus has to offer.

We made the most of every opportunity to get outside, putting our new Social Science map skills to the test by creating our own maps of the Clifton grounds. This also meant revisiting some favorite spots to get our bearings. In Natural Science, we delved into rocks, soils, and fossils, giving our students the chance to apply theory from the classroom to investigate different soil types around our school.

The Grade 5s also joined in on some whole-school events, like World Read Aloud Day, where we shared stories and snacks with our Junior Primary friends in Headmaster’s Woods.

We finished the term with a bang, enjoying an Outdoor Learning Day and a Super Science Day, both of which sparked the children's curiosity and encouraged them to try something new.

It’s been a joy to watch our students so eager to learn and have fun across all areas of school life. We’re excited for the second term, where we’ll also embark on our first Grade trip to Baynesfield!
