Puppet Show "Commotion in the Ocean" - 11 March

This week, our Pre-School and Grade 1 children enjoyed a delightful puppet show titled "Commotion in the Ocean," presented by the incomparable Heather Tomlinson.

For over 40 years, Heather has been a dedicated puppet educator whose passion for storytelling and education has never diminished. She creates every puppet and prop herself and travels extensively throughout South Africa to share her fabulous shows. "There's a curious commotion at the bottom of the ocean. I think we ought to go and take a look. You'll find every sort of creature that lives beneath the sea," her engaging narration proclaimed, captivating the imaginations of our boys and girls. The performance was not only entertaining but also educational, introducing the children to the wonders of marine life, from the delicate starfish to majestic whales.

The use of rhyme throughout the show, inspired by a charming rhyming book, helped reinforce key messages about our oceans and the importance of caring for the environment. This puppet show perfectly aligned with our school promise by inspiring our children to explore, discover, and learn in an environment that values creativity and personal growth. It was a powerful reminder that education, at its best, ignites curiosity and nurtures the potential within every child. We are proud to offer experiences like "Commotion in the Ocean" that not only educate but also celebrate the spirit of childhood.

Thank you to Heather Tomlinson for her continued dedication and for making a lasting impact on our little champs at Clifton Notties.
