Buddy Morning - 21 March

Strong interpersonal connections are an integral part of Clifton’s fabric. In an intentional effort to develop and foster these, a very happy Friday morning was spent on the 21st March. The Grade 7s spent some time reconnecting with their Grade 4 buddies in an informal setting, involving a good amount of outdoorsy charging about to inspect forts and enjoy Top Woods. The Grade 7s play a special role in helping the Grade 4s adjust and adapt to the Senior Primary way of life, particularly with Clifton’s servant leadership philosophy in mind.

For the Grade 6s and their new buddies, the Grade 3s, it was an opportunity to ‘break the ice’ and to get conversations started through a series of carefully designed teamwork tasks which generated a lot of laughter and some incredible opportunities for growth. The children’s only complaint was that the time went by too quickly!

Buddy time will certainly be happening informally in the future! Happy hearts.
