Reptile and Creepy Crawly Show - 28 February

The excitement was palpable in our Pre-School as the children gathered to witness the captivating "Reptile Party Time," a Durban-based traveling reptile show. This unique event transformed the Multipurpose Room into a vibrant, interactive animal experience, engaging the young minds of our Clifton Champs in a way that few other experiences can.

Born out of a lifelong passion for reptiles, "Reptile Party Time" offers a refreshing perspective on animals that are often met with instinctive fear. The show featured a dazzling array of colourful, non-venomous snakes, gentle pythons, lizards, and other creepy crawlies. Each demonstration was conducted safely and with an emphasis on education, ensuring that the children not only witnessed the wonders of these fascinating creatures but also learned about their behaviours and natural habitats.

Throughout the show, the children were absolutely enthralled. Their curiosity was ignited as they observed snakes' slithering movements and lizards' agile, delicate motions. The hands-on approach allowed them to see, touch, and learn about these animals in a controlled, safe, and fun environment.

"Reptile Party Time" was more than just an entertainment event—it was a dynamic educational experience that broke down barriers of fear and replaced them with understanding and wonder. The demonstrations provided a unique opportunity for the children to explore the world of reptiles and creepy crawlies, enhancing their appreciation for nature and wildlife.

Overall, the event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the children. Moments like these contribute to the holistic, engaging education at Clifton, where learning extends beyond the classroom and into real-world experiences. We hope this event inspires a continued passion for discovery among our young champs, making their educational journey as dynamic and diverse as the creatures they observed at "Reptile Party Time."
