With all of this regional trade and the growth of diasporic communities throughout the Networks of Exchange period (1200-1450), there were bound to be massive cultural consequences. The College Board only mentions a couple, but I’m sure we can come up with more. Historical Development
Increased cross-cultural interactions resulted in the diffusion of literary, artistic, and cultural traditions, as well as scientific and technological innovations. The fate of large trading cities fluctuated from come collapse to extreme population increases. Lastly, the stream of new travelers intensified as information about far-away lands increased.
