About the Presentation

Smart cities and devices, autonomous vehicles and smart medicine make it easy to imagine a world where there are chips in just about everything that defines our way of life. The semiconductor industry is already riding this wave and industry experts see the same trajectory for the foreseeable future.

Semiconductor manufacturing stands apart as a unique process when you compare it to other manufacturing processes. Sid Sullivan from Aceco Manufacturing will be reviewing the challenges in designing and manufacturing components used in the production of memory chips, microchips, and LCD/OLED screens. He will show how the components they make are used to manufacture these products, and how the machining industry has advanced its production equipment through the designing of more robust equipment that is capable of meeting extremely tight tolerances.

Additionally, Mr. Sullivan will show how AceCo has adopted leading-edge inspection equipment to help design world-class products and processes. He’ll have lots of pictures and props for attendees to touch and evaluate.
