Historical View of America’s Aerospace Industry

Aviation is a relatively young industry, and it has had several key moments in it’s history. Don Peterson will share his experiences over four decades working with America’s emerging flight technologies, including missile development, cockpit instrumentation advances, flight management and guidance systems.

About the Presenter

Don L. Peterson began his work in the aviation industry in 1957 when he joined North American Aviation. Over the course of his career, he worked with NAA’s missile program until he moved to Lear Siegler and became involved in anti-missile guidance systems and eventually into design automation. Don holds a BS and MS in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
