Lessons learned from the Lewandowski wind farm

About the Presentation

Idaho’s first commercial wind farm – Lewandowski Farms – was located south of Boise. Its creator, constructor, and owner Bob Lewandowski established the three turbine farm himself with equipment he purchased in California. He died unexpectedly in July 2005, and without maintenance, the turbines stopped a couple of weeks later.

Learn how a small but dedicated group of people, less than a year after his death, got the Lewandowski Wind Farm operating once again and what they learned from the experience.
