Or maybe you have the entrepreneurial spirit and want to build something on your own! Join us for a great conversation with alumni who have participated in all of these areas and more! Get their insights on the pros and cons out there and how to figure out what questions you need to ask now to prepare yourself for your post-graduation career.

About the Panelists

Yvette Barrios, Department Manager, Boise State University

From saving the world one bone at a time, one fighter jet at a time, one locomotive at a time, to one printer at a time, Yvette (BSME ’03) has learned the ins and outs of large organizations. Previously working as an R&D Engineering Manager at HP, Inc., Yvette has joined the administrative team of the Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering Department at Boise State.

Ryan Okelberry, Co-Principal, The House of Design Robotics

Ryan (BSME ’05) is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with experience primarily in detailed custom machine design and engineering, robotics, and machine vision. He is owner/partner of an industrial robotics automation company, House of Design LLC, of seven years. They have grown their business from two owners to 60+ employees doing a variety of automation projects across multiple industries.

Sarah Haight, Lecturer, Boise State University

Sarah graduated in 2006 from Boise State and proceeded to earn her Masters at University of Michigan while working at Chrysler. Since then, Sarah has worked at several companies including MotivePower, Rekluse Motorsports, and Versabuilt Robotics. She joins our ME faculty (again) as a lecturer teaching foundational courses.
