Service and Repair in Industrial Markets

About the Presentation

Service & Repair (S&R) of parts being used by customers in the field remains an extremely important area for businesses in many different markets. Even with the best designs during new-make manufacturing, not all field usage/events can be anticipated, even after years of customer usage; this is especially true in industries, such as Aviation, power generation, and even automotive applications. With the S&R sector in these industries being well into the $ billions per year, companies spend $ millions on providing S&R to maintain their customer’s equipment. Incorporating S&R thinking into new-make design is critical for these industries, and must be considered for effective designs of complex, expensive parts. This seminar provides an introduction to this topic, covering business, and technical topics.
