Hiring and Interviewing

As a campus principal, staffing your campus with individuals who are the best fit for your students and larger community is extremely important. It is very important that principals follow district protocols and procedures for hiring. Human Capital offers a Guidebook of Interview Protocols and Processes and a Recruitment Toolkit. Principals should also use the handout for budgeting and staffing.


Human Capital may reach out to campuses for interview materials (questions, answers from applicants, confidentiality agreements, reference check forms) to ensure best practices are being utilized. Interview files should be stored on campus for at least two years; must be kept in a secure location. Audits may be conducted based on these requirements.
