7.5 Recycling on Campus

In October 2010, ASFG was designated as a Model School by the Mexican Environmental Agency SEMADES for its achievements in recycling its waste. In 2012, we were awarded the national Green School certificate by SEMARNAT. We therefore expect all staff to cooperate in our recycling program and to encourage their students to do likewise.

All classrooms, faculty lounges, and office spaces have recycling bins for paper and plastic, as well as a regular trash can. Teachers are expected to oversee the correct use of these bins by their students. There are also multiple recycling bins around campus. Please use these appropriately. There is a recycling drop-off center in the Filadelfia parking lot. Parents and staff are encouraged to leave their recycling from home here, pre-washed and sorted.
