Professional ethics require that every teacher be discreet in all dealings with students, other faculty members, and parents. Some conversations between a student and a teacher should be held in the strictest confidence. Administrative decisions and any discussions and/or misunderstandings among the faculty should not be shared with students or parents, either on or off the campus. Negative and destructive comments concerning students, staff, and school are out of place in the faculty lounge or any other place on the school campus. They are equally destructive in the community at large.
Conversations between teachers and parents concerning other teachers or judgments of other faculty members are unprofessional. When faced with a difficult situation always maintain professional language and posture at all times. Remember that difficult or hostile situations should be referred to the principal or Director General immediately.
