The Board of Directors will adopt annually, upon recommendation from the Director General, a staffing plan for the instructional program offered by the School.
The Director General is responsible for selecting appropriately qualified individuals to fill the professional staffing positions. The Director General shall establish recruitment and selection procedures to maintain an exemplary professional staff to carry out the program of instruction.
The Director General is authorized to recruit the qualified staff in the manner which he-she deems most effective in recruiting high-quality professionals. This may include recruiting trips to the United States or other countries.
Monthly Income = National scale + US-type scale + Rent Allowance + Travel Allowance + Excess Baggage (one time only)
Teacher qualifications:
To be considered a foreign hire, the teacher is hired outside of Mexico and will or has relocated for the sole purpose of teaching in a foreign country. Teachers coming from other US accredited schools who were foreign hires and who meet all ASFG teaching requirements are considered to be foreign hire teachers. Foreign hire teacher status at ASFG expires after four years. After that time, teachers receiving evaluations of excellence may be invited to remain at ASFG. At this time the housing allowance may be reclassified as an individual evaluation and will be adjusted to the level of the housing assistance stipend in effect each year.
In extreme cases, teachers not meeting all foreign hire requirements may be offered a foreign hire contract depending on negotiations and staffing needs of the school.

Teacher qualifications:
To be considered a local US-type hire, the teacher is hired in Mexico or internationally and has or will relocate to the city regardless if they have acquired a teaching position at ASFG or not.

For any given school year, ASFG will strive to not have more than one teacher per section who does not fulfill the two-year teaching experience requirement.
