Extended definition:Â
Since 2013 the đź’€ emoji appears in the Urban Dictionary with the definition of “You died of laughter, aka something is that funny you laughed so hard you died” or just expressing “dead”.Â
In the last decade the meaning of this emoji skull has been changed, it used to be to express danger, but in social media it now means: intense laughter. In the media you mostly find acronyms like “LOL”, “LMAO”, to express laughter, but now you can also find certain emojis that express this too, and i'm not only talking about that common laughing emojis, also the crying emoji is used. However, this emoji is used by a lot of people, mostly by young people. I commonly see it in TikTok, people use to share their funny videos with this emoji in the description.
The I Forgor meme On February 5th, 2021, Twitter user @ItsNotSeabass tagged Wallmart's Twitter account, writing, "Hey @Walmart I have a question." After the @walmarthelp Twitter account replied, "How can we be of assistance?", @ItsNotSeabass responded, "I forgor đź’€," likely mistyping "I forgot."
