Boonk Gang is a phrase that became popular circa 2017 via popular rapper/content creator Boonk and his instagram videos where he showcases himself stealing and sreaming boonkgang to promote his brand. This trend took middle/high schools by storm causing many teens to try and recreate his antics in their everyday academia. The trend died out within a year but arguably resurfaced in 2021 as the striking similar "Devious Lick" trend. This featured similiarly students taking now exclusively from the school usually in the form of taking something off the wall in the bathroom like a sink or toilet.
