Demure is a word which is typically used to describe a person who is shy and reserved.
But ever since this tiktok went viral people use it for EVERYTHING. The user "joolieannie", used the phrase "very cutesy, very demure, very mindful, very demure".
The context behind the video is this individual stating their makeup is demure and modest, and that they do not show up to work with a green cut crease.
The definition is not altered with the tiktok, like the word does not a have a complete different meaning.

Context: My friend in a pink restroom and calling it demure, so something that is feminine and cute is demure now. My reply obviously show I did not know what she was talking about, I thought the restroom was giving scary movie vibes. 😔.
