During the beginning of each season, the drag queens competing on RuPaul's Drag Race do a segment called "Reading is Fundamental" where they "read" each other. They hold glasses up to their eyes and proceed to "read", "drag", or "roast" their fellow contestants.
"That was the coldest read I've ever heard"
"That was a read honey!"
"No tea no shade, all tea all shade" usually said in response to a read.
