Out of Pocket
A phrase used to describe something that someone says or does that is wild, unexpected, or uncalled for. There is usually a humorous aspect to whatever is being labeled out of pocket.

The phrase out of pocket is used as a quick way to communicate to somebody that something was wild or uncalled for. When somebody tells a joke that is offensive and out of the blue, the way we identify it is by saying it is out of pocket. Somebody can also be labeled out of pocket by being random and doing things that are unexpected. Out of pocket memes would usually be a wild take on a controversial subject, these takes are usually very offensive. The humor in these jokes comes from the absurdity of whatever claim is made, so as a result the more offensive and outlandish the scenario the funnier it is.
Kanye west has always been known to say outrageous things but more recently his comments have been getting out of pocket. this clip is especially funny because it shows Kanye blaming a Jewish doctor for not taking his medication. this is out of pocket primarily because it is offensive and unexpected. Kanye has now stated that he once again likes Jewish people after seeing Jonah hill in the movie "21 jump street" which makes the situation even more humorous.
One of the arguably funniest people on social media currently is Theo Vonn. his comedy is based on the unexpected. he is a perfect example of an out-of-pocket person because you never know what he will say next.
