A phrase said to allow someone to continue what they're doing
Extended Definition: A slang term/catchphrase used as a callout to give someone the space to plot, strategize or hone their craft.
Analysis: The term/catch phase "Let Him Cook" is understood to have originated from the catchphrase "Let that Boy Cook" that was coined from rapper Lil B. The phrase is commonly heard on social media platforms, TikTok and Instagram. It has been made into a "sound" on TikTok which is an audio that can be played over a video, the audio repeats the phrase "Let Him Cook" 3 times, with an emphasis on the 3rd one. The sound is commonly used on edits of athletes or characters from a show/movie or a slide show of pictures on TikTok.
The phrase is commonly used to hype someone up when they're about to preform a task, for example "rizzing" up a girl. "Rizzing" up a girl just mean flirting or hitting on them. So when I guy is trying to rizz up a girl, his friends would say "Let Him Cook", or in other words, let him spit game. The phrase is also commonly used when talking about athletes during a game, for example if Kyrie Irving was crossing up the other team, a fan would say "Let Him Cook", meaning let him keep hold on the ball and blow by the other team to score a bucket. So this phrase is mostly used to hype up or encourage someone to exceed in a task, but it's not always used that way.
The phrase "Let Him Cook" could also be used in a negative connotation. One way it can be used in a negative way is if you know someone is going to fail at a task before they even try, you would say "Let Him Cook" to encourage that person to preform the task anyways just so you can see them fail and get a good laugh in. For example if your friend wanted to go hit on someone WAY out of their league, you would hype them up even though the other person would probably say no, but you encourage them to try just so you can see the outcome. Another example is if your friend is trying to do a dangerous trick on a skateboard that they've never done before, you might say something like "Let Him Cook" to hype them up and encourage them to try it even thought they're most likely going to eat shit. After the outcome is for sure negative, a phrase that can be followed up with it is "Who Let Him Cook??" meaninf who let them do that or keep going?
So there are different ways to use this phrase, it just depends on the situation.
Examples
Friend 1: *Trying to talk to a girl*
Friend 2: "He has 0 chance with that girl, we should stop him before it ends up ugly"
Friend 3: Hold on, looks like they're getting along, "Let Him Cook!"
