A phrase used to describe something absolutely delicious or amazing
People primarily use the term to describe tasty food, whether from a restaurant or home-cooked. However, some people have expanded the usage to other things, such as outfits ("fits"), songs, and movies. Bussin’ is an African American Vernacular English that means to dance back in the day. The earliest recorded date that bussin’ was used was back in 2009. But, Generation Z gave it a new meaning and is now used to describe delicious food. The origins of "bussin" are not clear, but it has roots in the Black community as a way to compliment delectable food. It became popular on social media, particularly on TikTok, in the early-2020s. A popular TikToker "Dpeezy2099" started making different meals and asking "is it bussin or disgustin?" where he would create his own prison style meals. Many people started creating TikToks where they would have their food in their hand and eating it saying "it's bussin" while covering themselves with the meal or whatever they may be eating.
