Material Girl

This is a term a person could use to describe themselves or others. They are sometimes seen as vain. Material girls do not have one specific style. It doesn't only apply to people who obtain luxury goods. It is having items that are outside of the realm of basic needs. Material girls are seen to be in a higher status within society since people who have money tend to be able to have more items outside of basic needs. Since the term could be used to show status it could also be used as a way to put people down for not having these items. These items don't have to cost An absurd amount of money the level of worth is personal, not necessarily monetary.
