Red Flag

The term "Red Flag", symbolized by the 🚩 emoji, appeared on social media around October 2021 and . The use of the phrase became especially prominent on social media platforms such as: TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram. In which users would jokingly express certain characteristics  or traits they view as deal breakers in a potential relationship. The phrase itself is still used  prominently on the aforementioned social media platforms, even garnering the attention of celebrities and businesses who have expressed their own "Red Flags".
