A Level Results Summer 2018

There was much to celebrate this morning as Greensward Sixth Form students collected their A level and BTEC results.

For most, the countless hours of revision and exam preparation paid off as they gained a set of grades which, in many cases, exceeded those needed to progress onto the next stage of their career, be that at university or in the work place. With almost a quarter of grades being awarded at A* an A and just short of half at A*-B it was another excellent set of results for the sixth form at Greensward which, last year, was ranked as the best in Essex by Government league tables.

Individual successes were numerous, but special congratulations to Oliver Cotgrove (A*, A* A) who now goes to Nottingham to study Psychology, Sian McLintock (A*, A*, A) who takes up her place at Medical School in Manchester and Jodie Weston (A*, A*, A) who will be studying Pharmacy at Keele.

Other students of note include our Head Boy and Head Girl, Harvie Chaperlin and Kate Pilbro who each achieved A* A A and will move on to study Economics at Loughborough and Essex respectively.

It was also a good year for those students who sat AS levels earlier in the summer, with seven students gaining a clean sweep of A grades and the perfect start to their Year 13!

Well done to each and everyone of our students who, regardless of the outcomes of today, we are confident will leave Greensward well equipped to face whatever challenge comes their way.

Congratulations to our Sixth Form whose progress at A Level was rated the best in Essex in the government league tables. Our performance also placed us in the top 5% of providers nationally. A fantastic achievement by all.
