This Friday, Nov. 18, Cony High School will host a career fair throughout the day for students. The career fair is put up annually to advertise college and secondary education programs.

There will be booths with ambassadors from colleges, businesses and military branches in the gymnasium to give all grades new insight into post-graduate options.

A record high of 72 organizations are scheduled to be there to help students make decisions about their futures, including state universities, the U.S. Naval Academy, ROTC, scholarship foundations, state power utility CMP, higher education financing FAME and more according to the guidance office.

“We try to get everybody’s possible post-secondary planning whether it’s work, military, school or additional training,” said Lisa Plourde with Cony’s guidance department, who is organizing the career fair.

Students from six other schools have also been invited, including Hall-Dale, Richmond, Monmouth, Winthrop, Erskine and Gardiner. All grade levels at Cony will be participating at different times throughout the day.
