Awards were completely out of Mill's mind this year, including the Fitzpatrick, he said. e welcomes the honor, but said he was more focused on the team's success, he told the Rameses shortly after receiving the news.

“Team wins, celebrations, and awards will always be better than individual awards, but this is the best way I could end my high school career.”

Mills was also named player of the year in Cony’s own award ceremony in early December.

Headcoach, Mr. Lippert said, “ Casey Mills has represented Cony football, and more broadly, the City of Augusta, extremely well during his four years at Cony. Both as a dominant two way player on the gridiron and as a top notch student, Casey has raised the bar for others following behind him.”
