Presentation of work guidelines
Produce a mind map related to the pandemic. Consider objects related to the Covid-19 pandemic and write down key words about your own experiences.
Look at artist Andy Warhol and look at the repetitive prints: google Andy Warhol repetitive prints and select your most favourite print. Look at the artist Michael Craig Martin and google his still-life paintings Print them out and write about what you like about them. Place this information in your Mind map page.

Michael Craig Martin
Use the mind map to find visual images that relate to the words you have written down (get 10 to 12 images) Produce a visual research page with your images and make drawings from the images.
Objects related to the Covid-19 Pandemic
2 colour foam print: Use your smaller printed image to produce a line drawing on the foam that I gave to you on Wednesday. Do not shade it.
Bring in a paper blue mask to use it to print on.
Use the images that you have from the pandemic visual research to develop an idea/ compositional line drawing to use for a print, based on the artist Michael Craig Martin. Draw 5 objects and trace the drawing on the other side of the paper. Use water colours or diluted acrylic paints to paint the objects using only flat colours/ no tone.
William Morris print: develop a composition which will then be flipped and repeated 4 times to create a William Morris print. You can select areas or sections from the 10 initial observational drawings.
Artist: William Morris
Artist: William Morris
Use the same design that you did for the William Morris inspired design and trace it onto a piece of card and then glue string on top of the drawing.
Use the cardboard printing plate to emboss the string onto paper. Use printing press and wet paper.
