For Homework copy one of Quentin Blake's illustration.
Re-cap on the use of line and use the line illustrations chart in the presentation.
Week 2: Select an area of the extract that you want to illustrate from the Key words list that you have made and look at the images of Quentin Blake to get inspiration and copy the same style of working.
using your selected key word or phrase from the extract, start to do your drawing. You can take photos with your phone of friends to start the illustration and then you can also work from imagination.
Week 3: once you have done your pencil drawing, you can start to add the paint in the same way as the artist using water colours/ block paints.
Week 4: use a black pen/ felt tip to go over the drawing.
Week 5: add the text that comes from your selected key word or phrase in pen at the bottom or side of your illustration.
Students can produce a written evaluation concentrating on the process of the project and what they would improve.
