Artist looked at in Video during todays lesson: select your favourite cross hatching work from each of the artists and print them our to place beside your cross hatched drawing. beside the images use bullet points to comment on the works:
use of line (the closer together the darker the lines/ the further apart the lighter the lines)
light and shadow
use of line to create tone
direction of line to create shape and form

Task:
Select a quarter of your line drawing of the personal objects in the box and trace with pencil lightly onto an A4 piece of paper. the section you select must be a busy one and remember that when you have objects one beside the other or on top of each other, they cannot have the same tone. One object has to be lighter or darker than the other. Consider the tone of the foreground and background.
Materials:
A4 paper
black pen or fine liner
Box with personal objects relating to your character.
