Consider the following design concepts which you can combine in different ways using the drawings of sea life from the sculpture project:
- Overlapping
- changing size of drawings
- Selecting a section of the drawings
- Repeating
- Rotating
- Add textures and shapes from the artists (Heather Knight)
- Symmetry
Possibilities:
- Divide a section in your work sheet into quarters and get different sections from the different drawings to put in each quarter section. Join them to create a shape.
- select a drawing and repeat the shape, overlap it, rotate it and change the size. Shade it in black and white like a chess board.
- Select different sections from your drawings and start to repeat them and change the size.
- Divide one of your drawings in half and draw the mirror image horizontally and then the mirror image vertically of your first horizontal mirror image.
- Draw different sections and then extend the lines from your shapes to the edge of your paper or section were you are doing your designs.
