Greetings, Zarate Creations Family!
I hope you’re all doing well. The season has taken a few twists and turns with rain, lower temperatures, and creative challenges. Aside from a couple of networking events, I continue tackling creative projects and am looking forward to sharing with you every new book, video, and audio produced.
Audio Adventures
I’m thrilled to announce that my entire line of fiction books is now available as audiobooks! Additionally, my Zarate Creations Podcast is thriving, with seven episodes out to date. I’m committed to reaching my goal of 20 episodes by year’s end. Last week, I included a special episode where I read one of my Noir journal entries as well as the first chapter of Drake’s Orb. This exciting Sci-Fi book is currently in its second draft, with some fantastic editing help from Chat GPT as I create the chapter artwork.
Projects & Upcoming Releases
Recording my Chapter 1 excerpt for Drake’s Orb via podcast was an incredible experience. I might release a few more teasers before the book comes out. It’s a fantastic read, and I can’t wait to share it with you. The release date remains set for October (my birthday month!), and I’m eagerly anticipating it.
I’m also in the final stages of the Spanish version of Positive Pets, which will be out by the end of the week. Translating every poem has been an adventure, and I look forward to having my author copies ready in time for Hispanic Heritage Month. Zarate Zen: Inspiring Images In A Wonderful World is progressing nicely. While I haven’t settled on a cover image yet, I’ll share it here as soon as it’s finalized. If there’s a picture of mine you feel should be included, please feel free to message me. I welcome all suggestions and recommendations.
Plus Publication
My coming book, The Plus Mindset, is taking shape. As soon as I’ve assembled and updated each article, I’ll be releasing a sneak peak. As mentioned before, this book will offer insights into my outlook and life changing inspirations. I look forward to sharing it with you.
As a special closing, I’d like to share a bit from my latest article on photography:
Theme
Your portfolio should have a consistent theme or style that resonates with your brand. This could be a specific genre like weddings, landscapes, commercial photography, or a particular aesthetic that sets you apart. For example, a wedding photographer might focus on capturing candid moments, using natural light, and showcasing the joy and emotions of the day.
Versatility
While consistency is important, it’s also beneficial to demonstrate your versatility. Include a few projects that show your ability to adapt and excel in different scenarios or genres. A commercial photographer might include product shots, corporate headshots, and lifestyle images to highlight their adaptability.
Update
Regularly update your portfolio with new work. This not only keeps your portfolio fresh but also shows potential clients that you are active and continually honing your craft.
