Global Supply Chains (GSCs) are worldwide networks of suppliers, manufactures, warehouses, distribution centers and retailers through which raw materials are acquired, transformed and delivered to customers. It has become the established way for corporations to do business. Many firms will outsource parts of their supply chain outside their home country (offshoring), allowing many companies to specialize on core specialized roles. For example, offshoring parts like the laptop and case to other countries allows a corporation like Intel to focus on the production of processor chips.
